Permanent Production Operative, Dumfries

Alpha Solway Ltd are a leading manufacturer of Personal Protective Equipment based in South West Scotland. Due to the continued expansion of our UK manufacturing sites, we’re adding the role of Continuous Improvement Facilitator to our team.  We’re keen to hear from candidates in both the South West Scotland and Warrington/Greater Manchester areas. 

As Continuous Improvement Facilitator, you’ll be required to conduct process improvement projects using lean methodology to drive benefit for the business

If your application is successful, your main tasks will include:

  • Identify opportunities for improvement in all areas of the business.
  • Utilise data capture methods to track production metrics.
  • Conduct process improvement projects using lean methodology.
  • Adhere to set KPIs both departmental and personal.
  • Engage and communicate with all levels of the business.
  • Write SOPs and work instructions for our manufacturing processes.
  • Facilitate our onsite employee idea scheme.

We’re looking for candidates with the Lean Six Sigma Yellow/ Green belt or equivalent understanding of lean methodologies and if you’ve got an IMS time and motion certificate that would be beneficial too.

You’ll need the ability to interpret data to determine process current state and have a proven working knowledge of project delivery. You should also have strong communication skills and excellent skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
